Nanna and Pop Pop Come for a Visit to See Their FAVORITE Granddaughter Graduate!!

I had a wonderful time with my grandparents during their visit to Seattle!!! I love them both to pieces and was so excited to have them in my neck of the woods.  We did a few touristy things such as the Underground tour, which is a tour of the underground city of Seattle http://www.undergroundtour.com/.  We also Rode the Duck, which gave us a wonderful tour of Seattle via a WWII amphibious landing craft!  The Captain was quite a riot!! Pop Pop had a really hard time letting someone else be the 'comedian' but he wasn't afraid to drop i n his two cents every so often!!

On the Duck!

Pop Pop deciding how much he thinks this is worth..

I graduated from Cascadia Community College on Friday with an Associates in Applied Science-Pre Nursing Transfer degree.  I couldn't have been more thrilled to have a handful of supporters by my side...as well as Hannah; someone I  met at the beginning of my college experience, and I know will be a life-long friend!

Us with Emilie-our amazing teacher for Anatomy, Physiology, and Microbiology.  She truly made learning these challenging subjects enjoyable and understandable!! I am so proud that she has turned into much more than a mentor, but also a great friend!

Pop Pop just HAD to get a picture with his girls!

hahahaha-spreading our wings to FLY!

Love you Jonsey!!!

My Final Photo Project

My Ceramics Class

Along with photo, I have been taking a ceramics class.  Here is everything I made!
Birthday and Cake plate

My first project...a pot.

Trying to use up the rest of my clay, and caring more about the glaze rather than the technique.

Box-not sure what I plan to do with this just yet.

Coffee Mug!

the large bowl was one project, and the 4 small bowls were my final project.  My plan for this was to  be a salad bowl set...but unfortunately, they shrank while in the kiln more than I expected...maybe FRUIT salad bowls.

Project 4-Illusions

For this project, we were to create illusions WITHOUT the help of photoshop.  I struggled at first but I am finally happy with the results.

I broke up the set of 6 photos into two separate series.

"Creeper"

Since the first set was so creepy, I decided to have the second set be full of wonderful places...  I used photos that I had already taken, and printed them up to use with my crafty keyhole.  My concept for these three pictures was, "if you could open a magical door, what would you hope to see on the other side"
